Türkiye's daily power consumption down 15% on June 6

- Electricity exports amount to 12,463 megawatt-hours and imports total 6,100 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 15% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 600,844 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 30,596 megawatt-hours at 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 20,910 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 607,202 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of about 14% compared to Thursday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 22% of total generation, while solar plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 19.1% and 16.4%, respectively.

On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,463 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 6,100 megawatt-hours.
