Türkiye's daily power consumption up 15.4% on June 16

- Electricity exports amount to 14,205 megawatt-hours and imports total 17,758 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 15.4% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 953,401 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,813 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,605 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 949,848 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of about 15.2% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 24% of total generation, while solar and wind power plants contributed 15% and 14.3%, respectively.

On Monday, the country's electricity exports totaled 14,205 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 17,758 megawatt-hours.
