Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 3.3% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 997,652 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,416 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,816 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 985,411 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 3% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 23% of total generation, while natural gas plants and solar plants contributed 16.8% and 13.6%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,649 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 18,914 megawatt-hours.
