Norway's Equinor, formerly known as Statoil, awarded oil drilling and well services contracts worth 30 billion Norwegian crowns ($3.65 billion) to Schlumberger, Halliburton and Baker Hughes, the company announced Monday.
The contracts include integrated drilling services, cementation and pumping, drilling and completion fluids and electrical logging.
"This is a great day for Equinor and the Norwegian continental shelf. The contracts are the biggest we have ever awarded within drilling and well service," said Pal Eitrheim, Equinor's chief procurement officer.
The purpose of integrated drilling and well services is to clarify roles and responsibilities, according to the statement.
The contracts include options for five two-year extensions.
