Türkiye's energy import bill decreased by 2% to $6.38 billion in January compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Thursday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $6.51 billion last January.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $28.7 billion.
At $6.38 billion, energy accounted for 22.2% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in January.
Crude oil imports saw a 2.4% decrease to 2.36 million tons, compared to 2.42 million tons in January 2024.
