Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 4% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 624,585 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 31,793 megawatt-hours at 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 20,472 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 624,618 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a rise of about 3% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 22% of total generation, while solar plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 19.5% and 17.3%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,551 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 6,578 megawatt-hours.
